Continuations of Gratitudes

As the drugs have worn off and I've gone back through some text messages and hazy memories have become a little more crisp, I've realized I need to continue with my shout outs! I do recognize that y'all probably don't really care if you see your name on my blog but I want to see it and share how awesome our network has been.

To the Kramer Family - the fresh bread, the pastas, meatballs, sauce, beer for Jeff, and frozen chicken nuggets and fruit snacks for the boys. You shut up how awesome are y'all! Also, thanks for my first greeting card before I'd even left the hospital! Your wonderful kids and their spouses with soups and chicken. My new deep freezer is excited to know y'all and so is my tummy.

Sliders continued - Megan and Lindsay and the bamboo of 7. Never fear - the two pots are on my window sill being united in math (3+4=7 and all the good luck). Sophia and Dorothy forever!

Let's just plan to keep this as a running post series...

So John McCain and I have something in common...

It's weird to know when to break information or how to know when a story really "starts." For me, I have a doozy of a story that will rock a few worlds and break a few hearts. I guess I'll just jump right in and shock ya. I have been diagnosed with primary brain cancer. We are working with a team of people to figure out exactly what that means - aside from the fact that I have a lesion in my right frontal lobe that is aggressive and malignant....meaning, not so good but maybe not so bad? The One I've Been Avoiding Writing

Please note, that is not our dog but Bonnie Blue - owned by Wren and Susan Munsterman. I own real dogs. Let me preface this post with an apology for the typos - I'm typing but I'm not going to be able to see the screen through my tears and emotions. Sorry. Since July 15 I've got a water problem - my eyes leak. I've identified the triggers which lead to this and have been doing a pretty legit job of avoiding thinking too much about a few things. Yet, I need to poke the wounds because I need to be able to get through these difficult thoughts just in case . OH GOD I hate typing those words. It's that dreaded what if...and not the positive version. It starts with getting the urgent, nasty conversations out of the way. A Broken Phone and a Lot of Kindness - Saying Thank You

An example of a picture I would have lost without my new friend D I was mean today. I got a telemarketer call from my mortgage company to do an "account review." I have asked them not to call me about this about 10 times over the past few months - I'm fine with my mortgage, we pay on time, the right amount, and my interest rate is pretty outstanding. We're just not interested in an "account review"...oh, and it's during working hours - so I'm busy...you know working - so I can pay for my mortgage. WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM ME TO STOP CALLING?!  It wasn't Mr Telemarketer's fault - he too was just doing his job but dude, not the week for me to talk to you. And then MD Anderson called while he had me on a brief hold - I elected to hang up on him and talk to the schedulers instead. I guess I should expect a call from him again tomorrow and I'll have another chance to try again - this time I'll be nice. It goes to show that I'm not ...
